For my graduate project at VFS I decided to tell a story about personal development, I believe we should never stop learning. I used the metaphor of the transformation from carbon to diamond. The diamond represents human potential at our best. The title is called Cresente is the latin word for ‘Growing’

INSPIRATION

I worked with Displacement maps and Real Displacement Textures to create a realistic look.

I decide to use the x-particle plugin. The challenge was understanding how to control the trails and make them follow the surfaces to achieve the aesthetic movement.

For creating more realistic visuals, I learned Octane which also helped with render time.
